André R. Russell was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in the Bellaire Gardens community on the city’s Westside. Andre’s neighborhood provided daily examples of how supply and demand worked as well as capitalism. As a kid, André took education seriously, and coupled his book knowledge with his observations of how the streets worked. André started his first business at the age of 12 selling frozen Kool-Aid (Icees) to the neighborhood. This venture proved to be successful as he met his profits margins and forced his rival out of business. During André’s adolescent years he started his second business with his mentor Leon Anderson III named DreTronics. DreTronics was a business that provided customers with electronic and video game products at a low price. He learned a lot about business through his DreTronics experience and it sparked his interest in pursuing a college degree. After graduating from John Marshall High School in 2002, André continued his education at The University of Toledo. Dré earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (Human Resource Management) from the College of Business in May 2007. Upon completing college, André accepted the position of Human Resource Director at Sports and Spine Physical Therapy, Inc. André values loyalty, integrity, and honor; values which he attributes to his family, friends, and the experiences he has endured. During his free time, Dré enjoys music, sports, fashion and Pepsi.
