Six Duece Enterprises was founded by Jerry T. Billups, Ronald Bridges, Anthony Hollins and André Russell in 2005. The four young men became the best of friends while attending The University of Toledo. The foursome did not particularly like how organizations were ran and viewed on campus, so they decided to create their own. S.D.E. was founded on the principles of integrity, loyalty, hard work, and friendship; principles that all four gentlemen greatly value having all come from the inner city of Cleveland, Ohio.
The first event organized by S.D.E. was the First Annual Six Duece Madden Invitational held on February 12, 2005. The event was held inside the now legendary Apartment #62. S.D.E. earned praise, recognition, and respect for the overall organization of the event. The tournament was so popular, that it forced the Project Manager Jerry Billups to have a sequel.
Per the organization’s Mission Statement, Six Duece then began to collaborate with other organizations. Six Duece was able to raise money by gathering donations and committing to run in the 2006 TowPath 5K. The crew collaborated with the Let’s Talk About…organization to raise money and awareness to childhood obesity. S.D.E. then raised money for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Toledo and participated in the Bowling for Kids Sake. All projects and events that occurred prior to the summer of 2007 were all done while the team was earning high academic marks at UT. The illustrious men of Six Duece Enterprises are very proud of the impact that they’ve had on the lives of the youth and those less fortunate.
